Coronavirus News: Less than one lakh Covid-19 cases were reported in India on Tuesday for the second time in a row. According to the latest data from the Union Ministry of Health, 67,597 Covid-19 cases have been reported in India in the last one day, bringing the daily death toll to 1,188. Yesterday, there were 83,876 new Covid cases and 895 deaths in India. For the first time in almost 32 days the daily Covid case load dropped to less than a one lakh.

Active casualty load in India fell to 1,14,047 on Tuesday. Overall, the number of active cases in India is 9,94,891, which is 2.35% of the total caseload. The death toll from Covid has risen to 5,04,062 so far.

A total of 1,80,456 people have recovered from respiratory infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery number to 40.84 crore. India's daily positive rate fell to 5.02% from 7.25% in 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health, 13,46,534 Covid tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours. A total of 74.29 core tests have been conducted in the country since the onset of the epidemic.

The number of Covid vaccines in India has increased to 170.21 crores. Out of the total vaccination coverage, 95.07 crore people were given the first dose and 73.55 crore people were fully vaccinated.
