The BCCI has said that the RT-PCR tests conducted by opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and fast bowler Navdeep Saini (standby player) on Monday (January 31) gave positive results.

"The RT-PCR tests conducted by fielding coach T. Dilip and security liaison officer B. Lokesh on Monday (January 31) gave positive results," the board wrote.

"On Tuesday (February 1) batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad got a positive result in the RT-PCR test. He got a negative result in the first round test on Monday," it added.

"The RT-PCR tests conducted on Wednesday (February 2) on batsmen Shreyas Iyer and sports massage therapist Rajiv Kumar showed positive results. Both of them were negative in the first two rounds."

The BCCI has said that players who are found to be positive for Covid will be left alone until they fully recover.
