MS Dhoni, who has achieved unprecedented success as the captain of the Indian team, is all set to experiment with 'Atharva' in science fiction graphic novels. The former India captain went on Facebook on Wednesday and shared a video of the graphic novel. The experienced wicketkeeper-batsman himself played the lead role in the sci-fi graphic novel 'Atharva', where he can be seen fighting the Devils in his animated avatar. "I am happy to announce my new avatar ..... Atharva," Dhoni captioned the video.
Dhoni is currently preparing for the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was one of the four players retained by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the mega auction to be held in Bangalore on February 12 and 13.
Along with Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhoni, Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been retained by CSK. Jadeja was retained for Rs 16 crore while Dhoni was held for Rs 12 crore. Moeen, on the other hand, gave Rs 8 crore and Ruturaj Rs 6 crore.
CSK has already raised Rs. 42 crore while the total was Rs. 48 crore. Dhoni, over the years, has played a key role in CSK's bidding strategies, which is the main reason for their continued success in the cash - rich league.
Following the addition of two new franchises, Lucknow Super Giants and Ahmedabad, CSK is looking to retain their title with 10 teams in the upcoming IPL season.
